Absolutely gorgeous Cirrus. Why do people want to cull these wee creatures?
Hi Cirrus
He is really so cute, well done to catch that pose.
Thanks Cirrus- yes I did read that somewhere must go and see if I can cadge some from the cafe we sometimes go to. I am trying a little experiment to lighten your Osprey pics, will put them in my Gallery and if you like them you can transfer them.
Maureen is it something to do with the fact that they eat the same food as the red squirrel which is indigenous and the greys are a bit more bossy. Poor beautiful red squirrel goes into decline. I like the grey squirrel - wouln't harm any creature- but not to the detriment of the red. Sorry if this offends and is not correct!1
I agree with Tish, Maureen. Not only do they compete for food but the greys transmit squirrel pox, which they are immune to, but is fatal to the red squirrel, so if nothing is done to control the advance on the grey squirrel, we will no longer have any reds left:((
