Wigeon and mallards at the RSPB Ouse Washes reserve, Cambs

A small group of duck in front of one of the hides, bickering amongst each other in the beautiful late afternoon light. The surrounding marshes were alive with lapwings, golden plovers, more ducks and even a few small groups of whoopers. The picture quality suffers slightly as it was hand-held and taken through the telescope!

    Yes they are one of my favourites - love that 'chwi-weeeeooo" whistle they make!
