Courting, fighting, mating, breeding and rearing young - it's chaos in the country park!
If you're more used to seeing us herons standing silently by the water's edge, come and visit us at Hartsholme Country Park for your free front-row seats to the drama of our lives.
You'll be on the edge of your seat watching our soap opera unfold!
When can you see us?
Lincoln Local Group members will be at the viewpoint every weekend, 11am - 4pm, including Easter weekend! That means they'll also be around on Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday.
How to find us
The park is signposted off the A46 with the main entrance off Skellingthorpe Road (B1378). The viewpoint will be lakeside in Hartsholme Park, follow the signs from the visitor centre.
What should I bring?
Nothing special, but we're outside so make sure you dress for the weather!
