Portmeirion – yes, as well as the Italian-style village, there's heaps of wildlife too!
Portmeirion Village sits within 70 acres of mixed woodland and is home to an array of different species. Join a guided walk and learn about the trees, plants and birds that make this woodland their home.
You'll also find out why the mighty oak plays host to the most wildlife, plus get to watch the woodland birds in our purpose-built feeding area.
We'll sometimes be on the estuary, where there's a chance to see ospreys fishing, and little egrets and waders in action.
There is an entrance fee to Portmeirion Village, but no charge associated with our walks. However, should you wish to give a donation following your guided walk, proceeds will go towards our conservation work in Wales.
When can you see us?
The walks start from the centre of the village – look out for our marquee and board with walk times.
Friendly RSPB helpers will be on hand most days, but if you are making a special trip to Portmeirion, please phone beforehand to avoid disappointment.
What's at the site?
For those less able to walk the woodland trails, there is an opportunity to hire a golf buggy. Booking is required in advance; buggies cost £20 for a 45-minute tour, which goes every hour between 11am - 3pm. Please phone 01766 772311 to book.
How to find us
Portmeirion Village is on the A487, signposted for Minffordd.
