Brilliant birdlife at Leeds Castle27 March to 18 April and 14-31 August 2010
Stately, elegant, timeless. And that's just us swans!
But it isn't just us you'll find at Leeds Castle - there are plenty of other amazing birds.
In spring, watch as coots and moorhens compete with us to build their nests, and see unflappable herons stalk the shallows in search of their next fishy meal.
In autumn, we're joined by diving ducks and flocks of gregarious geese, with tufted ducks and pochards rubbing shoulders with Canada and greylag geese.
From the feathered friends you see in your garden, to a swooping sparrowhawk or gliding buzzard, there's something for all the family to see.
So, what are you waiting for? Join RSPB guides at the viewpoint overlooking the lake (near the maze area of the gardens) to see us raise our heirs in royal splendour, in the heart of historic Kent. When can you see us?Friendly staff and volunteers will be at the viewpoint daily, 10 am-4.30 pm. What's at the site? There will be three telescopes and five pairs of binoculars available for you to use.
