Car Park open daily from 8.30am to 4.30pm or dusk if earlier. Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. 30 spaces. 2 Blue Badge spaces Car park entrance is off the roundabout with Canvey Road and Roscommon Way. There is a height restriction of 7 feet (2.1 metres). Bike racks with space for 16 bikes.
Please note: the car park is loose gravel and may be difficult for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Picnic benches have a 50cm gap but note that the benches are situated on uneven grass and may prove difficult to access for those with mobility difficulties or pushchairs.

At the hide entrance, there is level access. There are low windows in the hide, so wheelchair users can see outside.

Grass path 700 mm (275 inches) wide with 1:10 gradient.
The main trail is 3200metres long. Some of the trail has a loose surface. There are two kissing gates. Both have clear openings. The first is 390 mm wide and the second 430 mm wide for use with a radar key if required. The trail is sloped. The trail has seats. There are bird hides along the trail.
Dive deeper into the marsh on this 2 mile (3.2 km) route. You’ll walk past lagoons, grazing marsh and meadows on your way to the sea wall. The trail is hard surfaced and accessible with the exception of the sea wall access, where the surface is steep and uneven.
There is a grass path to top of the sea wall with a 1:3 gradient. It is 300 mm wide. The path on top of sea wall 200 mm wide.
There is no visitor centre here and this reserve does not have any staff on site.
There is no cafe or shop here, the nearest place for food and drinks is the cafe at Morrison’s supermarket, SS8 0PT, 0.6 mile (1km) from reserve. We recommend you bring your own food and drinks if this is likely to affect your visit.

Restrictions
There is a dedicated 1.5km/1 mile dog walking circuit.
Please always maintain close control over dogs due to the sensitive nature of the wildlife on the reserve.
Dog waste bins are available in the reserve car park.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all parts of the reserve.
BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time.
