Chiffchaff singing from tree

This restless warbler can be seen flicking its wings and twitching, or wagging, its tail. It is often difficult to see within shrubs and trees, but will frequently sing from an exposed branch. Chiffchaffs have less green and yellow in their brown plumage than the very similar Willow warbler and are also shorter-winged and darker legged.
