RSPB

What goes on in your garden at night? While you’re tucked up in bed, your garden comes alive with a host of mysterious sounds and shadows as nocturnal creatures – from bats and moths to owls and foxes – go about their business under cover of darkness.

Every year, the RSPB encourages the public to uncover the hidden world of their own back garden as part of Big Wild Sleepout. This year, it takes place 29-31 July, and registration is open from mid-June 2016.

Those who register will receive fantastic exclusive content and ideas to help make the most of the experience – especially for kids. We believe that, if the next generation make a connection to nature, they’ll be more inspired to help fight for its future.

Whether you go on a torchlit minibeast safari and then sleep in your own bed, camp out in your garden or pitch up at one of our reserves, you can take part in loads of ways, wherever you live.
