Children being shown birds

If you are doing a school project - either as a student, a teacher, or as a parent helping a child to learn - or if you just want to learn some amazing things about birds and the environment, this section of our website is for you.

The information here should help with school projects on birds, and the activities link directly to individual subject curricula, but you may find that you can use them across subject boundaries. The material is suitable for all UK countries and is available in English and Welsh.

As well as these web pages, the RSPB and its junior membership, Wildlife Explorers, have a great deal to offer you in 'the real world', ranging from running school trips to our nature reserves to our annual competitions and award-winning magazines. It’s all informative, and its great fun. But before you rush outside to see birds for real, take a look at the rest of the youth section – you can learn a lot from the games and other pages here as well.
