All year round

No such thing as a free lunch? We don't agree. Patrolling the beautiful, wild forests of Ceredigion can be hungry work. Of course, we haven't got the nicest table manners in the world – plummeting from the skies to grab a morsel from the feasts that Natural Resources Wales kindly put on for us, we definitely believe it should be first-come-first-served.With so much to see free of charge and expert RSPB guides on hand, why not tuck in to Ceredigion this year?
The visitor centre is open between 10am and 5pm (until dusk in winter), and food is placed on the ground at 3pm in summer and 2pm in winter. You can see the kites from the warmth of the visitor centre cafe or you can venture closer by heading down to the lake to see the feeding up close. The RSPB will be on site to tell people about the kites. Staff will be based at the virtual hide next to the Visitor Centre. We will be running a talk at 2:00pm before the feeding, to tell you about the amazing success story behind the kites you see today in Wales and then give you time to find a great spot to watch them feed. Staff will be on site most Thursday to Sundays during the Spring and summer – to avoid disappointment why not give us a quick ring on 02920 353010 to check we’ll be there when you visit.
