Courting, fighting, mating, breeding and rearing young - it's chaos in the country park!

If you're more used to seeing us herons standing silently by the water's edge, come and visit us at Hartsholme Country Park for your free front-row seats to the drama of our lives.

You'll be on the edge of your seat watching our soap opera unfold!

When can you see us?

Lincoln Local Group members will be at the viewpoint every weekend and Bank Holiday Monday between 16 April and 2 May, from 11 am-4 pm!
Binoculars and telescopes will be available for you to get some stunning views of the herons and their young at the nest sites
