  1. See and hear the springs bubbling
  2. Listen to birds singing in the woods and reedbeds
  3. Look for fish - including brown trout - in the chalk stream

Top things to do in Summer

  1. Watch dragonflies buzzing around after their small insect prey
  2. Look out for butterflies feeding on flowers and basking in the sunshine
  3. Look for fish - including brown trout - in the chalk stream

Top things to do in Autumn

  1. Common darter dragonflies can be seen as late as November
  2. Stay until dusk for a good chance of seeing barn owls hunting
  3. The reeds take on a golden glow in the late afternoons

Top things to do in Winter

  1. Stay quiet and you might get a glimpse of deer
  2. Listen for flocks of small birds - tits, siskins and lesser redpolls - feeding in the trees
  3. Late on, watch out for birds coming to roost, including reed and corn buntings
