Bridgwater, take the A39 from Bridgwater heading east towards Glastonbury. Proceed to the village of Ashcott and follow the directions above from the village. The station is approximately 10 miles (16 km) away from the reserve entrance.
In the village of Meare, on St Mary's Road. From the bus stop, head east towards Glastonbury and take the turning for Ashcott Road, heading south. Proceed down Ashcott Road for approximately 1 mile (1.6 km), continue past the Railway Inn on the left and over the metal bridge. Immediately after the bridge, there is a small parking area on the right hand side - this is Ashcott Corner and the entrance to the reserve.
From Glastonbury: Take the B3151 to Wedmore. At the village of Meare go past the church on the right and the garage on your left, then take the next left into Ashcott Road. The reserve entrance is 1 mile on the left after the Railway Inn, with the main RSPB car park over the bridge about 50 m on the left-hand side.From the M5: Take the A39 to Glastonbury for 8 miles until you reach Ashcott. After the Albion Inn on your right take the next left into High Street. Follow the road around to the left and onto School Hill. Bear right at the top of School Hill past the primary school on your left and stay on this road. The road bears to the left down the hill and onto the moors. Drive for 1.5 miles passing Church Farm Horticultural products on your right. Continue past here and RSPB Ham Wall car park will appear on your right-hand side.
