Sandwell Valley

The wildlife of Sandwell Valley offers a sensory delight and an exciting learning experience

Get to grips with science, geography and history in the heart of the UK's second city.

Our programme of activities will enable your pupils to work scientifically and develop new skills as they increase their knowledge of the environment.

From quiet wooded paths and teaching ponds, to a birdwatching hide and classroom with interactive displays, our beautiful reserve attracts wildlife all year round.

Sandwell Valley is the ideal base to explore and discover more about nature.

Children checking out the pond life at RSPB Sandwell Valley

Our Year 2 children had a fantastic time at Sandwell Valley. They enjoyed all of the activities (particularly pond dipping) and the day linked brilliantly with our minibeast topic.
