How are the starlings doing?
Over the last week, the number of starlings has increased considerably. The first birds seem to be coming in at 3.30, and the displays are quite special. The group over the remains of the West Pier now numbers in excess of 3000 birds, and their display can last for 45 minutes or more. RSPB staff and volunteers will be down there every day from 2.30 until dark with telescopes and binoculars, so come and enjoy this free wildlife spectacle. The watchpoint is by The Kiss wall, and will be manned (weather permitting) until Sunday 18th November.
