The RSPB set up a 4-day watch with help from the Brighton local group to show the locals these amazing birds close up through telescopes. As well as being in the local Newspaper we received coverage on BBC South News, BBC Radio Sussex and the Times Newspaper and generated almost 250 names for our 'Stop Killing Birds of Prey Campaign'.
We discovered that they had been present at this site for a year and that the female was a juvenille from an undisclosed site in Brighton. (NOT from Sussex Heights)
She was only 1 year old which confirmed the tower to be a roosting site as peregrines breed from 2 years upwards. The male was not rung so information about where he was from is unavailable.
They were seen bringing in Pigeons and on one occasion a black headed gull.
Viewable from the north end of Hove park, it has been requested that you DO NOT enter the Engineerium as this site is still under refurbishment,
