RSPB Adur Estuary

There is no access onto the reserve itself but good views from the roadside pavements and public footpaths and the footbridge over the Adur itself. Likely species (on the reserve itself) - Grey Heron, Redshank, Teal (winter), Ringed Plover, Linnet, Snipe, Lapwing, Little Egret. On the adjacent river - Little Grebe. Wader numbers much higher just upstream on the river opposite Shoreham Airport, where Dunlin, Turnstone, Grey Plover, and thousands of gulls in winter including up to 2500 Common Gulls likely, and numbers of Lapwing on the airfield regularly in excess of 1500.
