A surprisingly wide variety of birdlife is to be found in Mote Park, on the outskirts of Maidstone, and a visit to this site has become an annual event. Waterbirds on the lake, nuthatch and tree creeper in the woodland, and summer visitors should all be seen.

Coach trip to Arundel

We are at the early stages of planning a coach trip to Arundel in West Sussex. There will be plenty to do, including a visit to the castle, Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Denmans Gardens (voted eighth best garden centre in the Independent), a stroll round this small town, and a walk along the River Arun, perhaps tied in with a boat trip.
