Coach trip to Pulborough Brooks, Pagham Harbour or Petworth House
Next spring's coach trip on 9th May will again give you a choice of venues. We will all be visiting Pulborough Brooks in West Sussex, but keen birdwatchers will be able to enjoy a walk round Pagham Harbour, where we hope to be joined by members of the Chichester RSPB Group. For those who would prefer social history and architecture, the coach will also be going to nearby Petworth House, a 17th century National Trust property set in a 700-acre deer park, which boasts a fine art collection, furniture and carving by Grinling Gibbons. The interesting servants' quarters and kitchens are also open to view, and the small town of Petworth is just a few minutes' walk away. The cost is £19 for Pulborough and Pagham Harbour, or £17 for Pulborough and Petworth (£25 if you are not a member of the National Trust). PLEASE NOTE that this represents a slight change to the original itinerary, and we shall not now be visiting Uppark House. If you are interested, please tell Chris Sproul at an indoor meeting, or phone her on 01227 450655. It should be a really enjoyable day.
