Forest Farm Local Nature Reserve150 acres bounded by the River Taff and the Glamorgan canal this is a site where the usual woodland birds such as nuthatches or jays may be seen as well as migrants passing through in spring or autumn. There are 2 hides one of which overlooks a sandmartin wall. Water rail and even snipe may be seen. It is also good for butterflies and dragonflies or a family walk along the footpaths.
