Bird Walk at Stour Wood and Copperas Bay RSPB Reserve.

Location: Take the A120 towards Harwich and two miles beyond Wix take the small road on the left towards Wrabness. Turn right on B1352 and the entrance to the reserve is on the left after about half mile. Meet in the car park. Map Ref: 191310


A bird walk during which we will see a mixture of woodland and estuarine birds.

The RSPB at RHS Christmas Sale

Location: Hyde Hall, Creephedge Lane, Rettendon, Essex.

This is our major Christmas Fayre and will include RSPB Christmas sales goods, Christmas plants, books, knitteds, cakes, bric-a-brac, tombola etc. Refreshments will be available. The Group's Christmas Raffle will be drawn at approximately 1.45 pm.

On the Trail of the Crane.

Location: Cramphorn Theatre, Fairfield Road, Chelmsford.

A slide show by Ralph and Brenda Todd, who have got close to 10 of the 15 members of this enigmatic family and we look at the family as a whole. They then follow the migration of the common crane from Spain to Finland, touching on other birds that take part in this migration and the conservation issues that arise.
