Red Kites
There have been a number of reports recently of Red Kites appearing in Essex. Are these birds about to follow the buzzards that in the last few years have spread westwards into the county ?

Migrants on the Move
Our annual spring "Migrants on the Move" birdwatch on the 3rd May has this year moved from Heybridge Basin to Maldon Promenade. Access to this new location is much easier and is wheelchair friendly. We will be there with our telescopes to show members of the public the wonderful views of wildfowl and waders.
