Bird Watch at Maldon Promenade

A lovely day of clear blue skies but tempered by a fresh easterly breeze. We met a host of people enjoying the estuary, including many in wheelchairs all entranced with the birds we were able to show them which included:-
Wigeon, Little Grebe, Great Crested Grebe, Curlew, Black Tailed Godwit, Greenshank, Knot, Dunlin, Grey and Golden Plover, Little Egret and the champion, a Curlew Sandpiper close to showing every feather. A total of 34 species was seen.
