Fourteen of us met at Caldy Valley, sharing cars to the Frodsham Marshes. Weather a bit glum but not actually raining, though the light for birdwatching was poor. Our first foray showed goldfinch and meadow pipit, and a buzzard, a kestrel, and was it a hen harrier? Perhaps not. But we did see a curlew amongst the lapwing. More...

A glorious Saturday morning in June saw thirteen intrepid explorers receiving their final instructions before stepping out into the great unknown of Whixall Moss.
