Volunteer required to look after RSPB sales

Volunteer required to look after RSPB sales

Traditionally, our Group have sold RSPB goods to our members and to the public at meetings and events to raise funds for and awareness of the charity.
But our current Sales Officer, Sheila (pictured with Graham Wynne), is retiring at the end of March, and we have no-one to replace her.

So, we are looking for one or more volunteers to take over RSPB sales for the Chesterfield Group.

The job involves: organising sales of RSPB goods to the membership and public at local group meetings and events such as local fetes, fairs and shows; ordering and maintaining stocks of goods for sale; taking orders from members for goods; undertaking stock checks and balancing sales accounts; handling sales income and ensuring (in partnership with the Treasurer) that money is properly accounted for and banked.

Essential requirements are: access to a car for transporting the sales goods to events and meetings; a spare bedroom (or equivalent) to store the goods in between events.
Desirable attributes are: a flair for organisation and sales; a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing nature, and a keenness to speak to people; access to e-mail and the Internet.

If you might be interested in taking over the organisation of RSPB sales for the Group, please get in touch with either Sue on 01246 569431 or Barry on 01246 819667, or e-mail us via our "contact us" page.
