Car trip to Carsington Water

Sunday, 25 November 2007
A very enjoyable walk with some super birds and a good turn out of 15 members, including several people out for the first time with the group. A total of 45 species were seen during the walk from Sheepwash Hide to the main centre, with great views of a Little Owl, courtesy of the RSPB's Aren't Birds Brilliant team, many wintering duck and perhaps the highlight, and definitely the rarest bird seen this year, was an adult Ring billed Gull in the roost at the end of the day.
