About us

Chorleywood & District RSPB Local Group was started in 1976 after a series of talks in Chorleywood Library by David Elcome who encouraged his mature students to start a local bird watching group. The Group has gone on from strength to strength since then and currently has a membership of about 150. We welcome new members both to our indoor meetings and our field events. We meet at the Russell School, Brushwood Drive, Chorleywood on the third Thursday of the month at 8pm. Membership is £3 and entrance to the talks is £2.50 for members and £3.50 for non-members. We welcome anyone whether they are a member of the group of not.
