Hurworth BurnTake the A19 northwards and head for Dalton Piercy. Turn left for Trimdon and keep on to Hurworth. Park near the disused railway bridge and walk northwards to the reservoir. Hurworth Burn Res. is notable for winter wildfowl and good wader passage, especially in autumn. The surrounding farmland offers some variety with wintering thrushes and finches.
