North Gare and Seaton Snook
Sitting at the mouth of the Tees estuary, this is the North Tees equivalent of the South Gare, with a good beach, dunes and a man-made breakwater. Access is easy via a cattle grid off the Seaton Carew coast road and parking is available beside the golf course. A walk down to the gare point or along the snook (an area of sand, mud and rocks just south of the gare point) will be productive at most times of the year.
