Successful Season of Indoor Meetings

The group has just come to the end of the 07-08 season of indoor meetings. A new venture for us was a May meeting which proved to be a great success with over 90 members/visitors enjoying the latest RSPB film: 'Waterlands'. We also had plants for sale which were soon snapped up. I would be interested
to know if you would like us to make a May Film Show/plant sale an annual event?

Nest Boxes at Thorney Lakes near Langport
Several group members kindly donated 10 nest boxes which we have put up at Thorney Lakes with the help of children from Ash Primary School, nr Martock. The children will monitor the boxes next year to see how many breeding birds have taken up residence!

Promoting the RSPB
We recently attended the Ash Primary School Fete with our RSPB sales/badge making machine. We will be going along to the Lowland Games (near Langport) on Sunday 27th July with sales, displays, children's activities etc.
