Mariandyrys

Terry Piggott, who lives in Huddersfield and is a retired teacher and Schools Inspector, will talk to us about this small Reserve overlooking Penmon Point and Puffin Island at the eastern end of Angelsey. Terry is a NWWT member and has a cottage beside the Mariandyrys Reserve. His talk will be illustrated with his prize-winning photographs. The name means "entangled bank" which is also the name of the final paragraph of "the Origin of Species" Darwin's illuminating book of evolution. (see newsletter for a little more information).

"A Woodland Walk"

Gerald Hall is our speaker for this meeting. He is a badger consultant and warden at Whitwell Woods and Gerald's talk will be illustrated by his excellent photographs.
It should be a very enjoyable evening at the beginning of spring.

Our final indoor meeting for this season will be the formal AGM which will be held first before a talk, yet to be arranged.

Sue Clifton is stepping down as our Chairperson after a number of years and hopefully someone will have volunteered or have been press-ganged to lead the group onwards through 2012 and for the next few years. More information will be posted as soon as possible.
