National Lottery Awards - Old Moor nominated
Our local RSPB reserve at Old Moor, in the regenerated Dearne Valley, has reached the semi-final stage of the National Lottery Awards in the best Environmental Project section. As those people who are regular visitors to the reserve know, a tremendous amount of work has been carried out to make it a Reserve for the whole family , as well as the totally dedicated bird watchers. It has a dedicated staff, helped by a large number of committed volunteers, and together they have made a fantastic place to visit, even if only for a delicious meal or coffee!! There has been so much achieved in a short time and further projects are being planned. To win, or have extra funding, would help to achieve even greater progress. This requires as many people as possible to vote for OLD MOOR!!
Please register your vote either online at www.lotterygoodcauses.orguk/award then click Best Environmentasl Project. or by phoning 0844 685433 before Friday 10th July
