The RSPCA (England and Wales), SSPCA (Scotland) and USPCA (Northern Ireland) are the national charities that help and advise on sick and injured birds and animals. The RSPB does not run bird hospitals or a rescue service.

WRAS Wildlife Rescue
Home of the East Sussex Wildlife Ambulance Service. This group do a tremendous service to our wildlife, rescuing sick and injured animals. The site contains an advice page and a contact number which will be of use should any of us find a wild animal in need of help.

Sussex Butterfly Conservation
The website of the local group belonging to the aforementioned Butterfly Conservation. It focuses on the butterflies and moths in Sussex. Particularly delightful is the page on getting started in moth identification. Well worth a look!
Eastbourne Borough Council
A great deal of information about life in Eastbourne, but following the links will bring you to pages about Eastbourne's parks. Included are Hampden Park and Shinewater, areas where Eastbourne RSPB is involved in birding activities.
Prince's Park
Several parks in Eastbourne have support groups. Eastbourne RSPB sometimes gets together with these groups for talks, walks and bird surveys. One such group looks after the interests of Prince's Park, the subject of this website.
The Kit Wilson Trust For Animal Welfare
Established over 30 years ago, The Kit Wilson Trust For Animal Welfare was set up initially for the rescue and rehoming of domestic animals. Over the years, the Trust's work has come to include the rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife. The Trust has an emergency helpline to aid in the rescue of wildlife.
The Badger Trust
The Badger Trust campaigns for the protection and welfare of badgers and for conserving their setts and habitat.
Sussex Bat Group
The Sussex Bat Group is affiliated to the Bat Conservation Trust. Staffed entirely by volunteers, the group is active in the conservation and welfare of bats.

Badger Trust - Sussex
The site of the local badger protection group, which was formerly known as the Mid-Sussex Badger Protection Group (MSBPG), before becoming the Badger Trust - Sussex in October 2005. It campaigns at the local level for the welfare and conservation of badgers.
