The Turkey Brook

This could be termed as Bob's patch. It might not look much, but look again and linger a while. We have the ubiquitous mallards, lovely moorhen and the odd heron or two. Amazingly for such a typical urban brook we do have kingfishers.

On a wet Sunday January 25th this year I was walking to church when lo and behold, clearly visible with the naked eye was that wonderful translucent blue and the dark orangey red which brightened up a dreich auld day. We accompanied each other all the way along the road until I got to the Hertford Road and then two of them accompanied me for part of my journey back.

So there you are. It is amazing what can be found in a built up area of North London
