Bird Recording on Epsom Common

Choose one ( or more ) of the transects from the attached map.

Walk your choosen transect, in either direction and record the different species of birds you see/ hear and their numbers.

Also make a note of any breeding signs you see or fledgling birds.

You can walk as many of the transects as you like, as often as you like.

You don't have to do the same transacts all the time. You can walk different transects if you like.

You can do as many or as few walks as you like. Even just one would be a big help.

Record the transect walked, the date, time started, time finished and a brief idea of the weather.

Please avoid transect no.6 as it runs through Newton Wood which is private property.

Pass your recordings to Hugh Collings or any committee member, you can e-mail them to hughcollings@hotmail.com or phone them on 07886 664553 (before 6.30pm please) if easier.

Details of the records will be made available at a later time.
