THORNEY ISLAND

Directions:
A3 towards Guildford and Portsmouth. Join A3(M) and then follow signs to Chichester. After about 2 ½ miles on A27 just outside Havant, take the A259 towards Emsworth. Follow A259 for about 1 ½ miles and turn right at sign to Thorney Island. Park on verge at corner with Thornham Lane, about ½ mile. Leave vehicle entrance free at this point. Excellent for waders and other birds at migration time. OS map 197 ref SU 757 048.
