Field trip to Beachy Head and Weirwood Reservoir

Sunday, 17 September 2006
Nine local group members and three guests enjoyed a day at Beachy Head and a visit to Weirwood Reservoir. The weather was kind to us and although we did not see a great number of species there were a few highlights.
At Beachy Head a peregrine on the cliff face was a good start but the wryneck further along the coast was well worth the wait.
The visit to the reservoir (unplanned) revealed a night heron, again well worth the wait and about twenty snipe.
