AGM and Plant Sale

Thanks to the 40 or so members that attended our AGM on Wednesday 23 April 2008. The meeting was advised that the Group had met its target of donating £1500 to the RSPB and that this was thanks to fundraising events like the sponsored birdwatch and the support of our members, friends and visitors. Roger Adams was confirmed as the new Group Leader with the rest of the Committee remaining much the same although Pam Lee has kindly taken over from Roger as Indoor Meetings organiser. The AGM also featured Cameron Low from the Woodland Trust and a Plant Sale. We are pleased to report that the Plant Sale raised £106. Thanks to Anne Cross, Don Breakey and everyone else that helped make it a success.

The next Indoor Meeting will be on Wednesday 3 September 2008 at the Woodside Halls and will feature Duncan Orr-Ewing speaking about the Vulture Crisis in India.
