About us
We cover South-West Surrey from Chobham, Woking, Guildford and Godalming through to Cranleigh and Haslemere and have about 500 members. We aim to interest and inform our members about the RSPB, and to raise funds for the Society
We hold indoor meetings with illustrated talks twice a month from September to April and we have an extensive programme of over 50 walks and outings with occasional residential visits to UK or foreign birding sites.
We try hard to help new members to learn about birds and their habitat. We participate in local events to publicise the work of the RSPB and we produce a quarterly newsletter.
Members help with conservation work at the RSPB's new reserve at Farnham Heath. We can provide speakers to talk on various bird-related topics.
