Coach Trip to Rainham Marshes RSPB Reserve

Coach Trip to Rainham Marshes RSPB Reserve

Saturday, 29 March 2008

A full coachload travelled to Rainham on a windy and showery day. Undaunted, we were able to see the many improvements made to the site since our last visit in 2002. The award-winning visitor centre and its café proved especially popular when the rain set in after lunch. Highlights of the day included a flock of golden plover coming into breeding plumage, and an Iceland gull on the Thames. One lucky member even spotted an early osprey.
