January and February News

We start off the New Year with the visit of Barrie Mason to The Settlement on Friday 8 January. Barrie will be talking about the River Ouse and on the afternoon of Sunday 17 January we will have a chance to visit the RSPB Ouse Washes reserve by coach, after spending the morning visiting the woodland, heathland and lake of West Stow Country Park in Suffolk: a good selection of birds is guaranteed!

On Friday 8 February there is a welcome return of Barry Kaufmann-Wright to The Settlement. Barry will be showing us the wildlife that can be found around the British shoreline. On Sunday 21 February we have a coach trip to RSPB Pulborough Brooks in Sussex. This reserve comes equipped with a variety of habitats including flooded meadows that attract thousands of ducks, geese and wading birds and also has a well-equipped visitor centre.
