Own Transport trip to the Lee Valley

Twelve intrepid souls met at Fishers Green for a whistle-stop tour of the Lee Valley, additional sites visited being Rye Meads RSPB and the Great Amwell watchpoint. Despite some hefty showers we had an enjoyable time, with 63 species being seen. The pick of the birds were probably Goosander and Goldeneye at Fishers Green and Green Sandpiper at Rye Meads, whilst 2 Water Rail were seen feeding together (a rare sight!) at Great Amwell, where a Cettis Warbler was also heard.
