Coach Trip to Holme Dunes NWT Reserve

Sunday, 19 October 2008
Our second trip of the season to the North Norfolk coast was timed to coincide with the big movements of birds that we always find entering and leaving the country at this time of year. Although major rarities escaped us (with the exception of a Richards Pipit seen by some of the Group) there was, as always, lots to see around the reserve and out at sea, with a day list of 85 species of bird. Good numbers of Fungi (especially waxcaps) were also present on the reserve. To download the species list as a Word document visit www.roystonwildlife.com and go to the RSPB Local Group page: the list will be available until November 16th 2008 at least.
