A trip to Cley is always a pleasure and particularly so in the autumn, when birds are moving into, out of and along the side of the country. The weather was good and the birds didn't disappoint, with 93 species seen (a link to the full list is available as always at www.roystonwildlife.com). Highlights included whinchat and little ringed plover (departing), curlew sandpiper and little stint (moving down the coast) and snow bunting and white-fronted goose (arriving). Gannet and red-throated diver were seen offshore. An enjoyable day!
