Roundhay Park

This popular urban park, with its two lakes and extensive woodland, is home to a variety of common woodland birds such as Nuthatch, Jay and Great Spotted Woodpecker. Great Crested Grebe breed on the lakes, and Common Terns have nested. Tufted Duck, Pochard and sometimes Goosander winter on the main lake, Grey Wagtail seem to have taken to the upper lake this year, and if you're lucky you might catch a glimpse of a Kingfisher.
