 | Monday, 6 June 2011 Nature Notes - June 2011 Which migrants have you still to see? I still have not seen a spotted flycatcher or redstart even though I made the trip to RSPB Coombes Valley in Derbyshire. As a woodland reserve this must be one of the best and it is local, only taking an hour of relaxed driving. The reserve is close to Ashbourne on the Leek road and is well worth a visit at this time of year. The pied flycatchers put on a great display and redstarts are there, it's just that I did not see them! More... |
