Wednesday, 8 February 2012 Nature Notes - February 2012 On a very cold misty and bleak February day it was difficult to want to go for a walk, but needing the exercise it was an essential event. February is the most unloved month and walking along the river edge over frozen snow it was obvious why. Nothing seemed to be enjoying the day, redwing and fieldfare were nervously flying from bush to bush, trying to find any lingering hawthorn berries, robin and dunnock searched under the hedges for suicidal spiders; all seemed to be waiting for better times.
