Weekday Walk at Groby Pool

A good number of birds around on a cold February day, and there was a good turnout of 21 people.

Good numbers of birds on the water and along the old quarry track to the north of the pool.

Sightings reported were:

Black Headed Gull, Goldfinch, Mute Swan, Canada Goose, Magpie, Coot, Pochard, Tufted Duck, Mallard, Cormorant, Grey Heron, Carrion Crow, Wood Pigeon, Buzzard, Great Crested Grebe, Wigeon, Teal, Little Grebe, Great Tit, Marsh Tit, Robin, Chaffinch, Nuthatch, Blue Tit, Dunnock, Jackdaw, Redpoll, Siskin, Blackbird, Gadwall, Pheasant, Sparrowhawk, Raven, Moorhen
