Wildflowers at RSPB Conwy nature reserve

New Pin Badges from the RSPB

Last year the RSPB ran a successful campaign in support of the Sumartran Rainforest, part of the campaign included a series of seven pin badges.

The pin badges were a great hit with collectors and it's being run again this year. Five of the original badges, Sumatran tiger, Rhinoceros hornbill, Trogan, Sunbear and Elephant, and two brand new designs, Clouded leopard and Agile gibbon will be available for purchase.

If you are missing any pin badges from your collection I may be able to help. I've requested some surplus stock from Eastern England Regional Office so I may be able to 'fill in the gaps'.

Please let me know if there are any badges you would like by emailing me at: michaelboyd@mypostoffice.co.uk

Lost the backs of some of your pin badges? Why not use them as drawing pins on your notice board at home, in your office or at your school? You never know, you may encourage new collectors.

Billed as the birdwatchers' Glastonbury, the 2008 British Birdwatching Fair will take place on 15, 16 & 17 August at Egleton Nature Reserve, Rutland Water.

Whether you are new to birding or an 'old hand', this is the place to buy everything from greetings cards to binoculars, telescopes or birding holidays. Part of the entrance charge goes to supporting the project for 2008, 'Saving the world's most endangered species'.
