VISIT TO POTTERIC CARR NATURE RESERVE ON 4th FEBRUARY 2007

The Mansfield Group's trip to Potteric Carr was a great success for most members, if not all. The target bird BITTERN was seen from a number of hides during the visit. Other birds of interest were Kingfisher, Sparrowhawk, Golden Plover, Lapwing, Green Woodpecker, Skylark, Willow Tit, Coal Tit, Redpoll and Bullfinch. 36 members made the journey to this nationally important site for Bittern.
